Invocation During The Salat (Prayer) Narrated Abdullah bin Amr : Abu Bakr As-Siddiq said to the Prophet, "Teach me an invocation with which I may invoke (Allah) in my prayer." The Prophet (ï·º) said, "Say: Allahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman kathiran wala yaghfirudhdhunuba illa anta, Faghfirli maghfiratan min indika war-hamni, innaka antalGhafur-Rahim."
He said: Say: Allahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman kathiran wa la yaghfirudh-dhunub illa Anta, faghfirli maghfiratan min 'indika warhamni, innaka Antal-Ghafurur-Rahim (O Allah, I have wronged myself greatly and no one forgives sins but You, so grant me forgiveness from You and have mercy on me, for You are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful).
He then recited thrice: "Alhamdu lillah (Praise be to Allah)," and then three times: "Allahu Abkar (Allah is Greatest)." Then he said: "Subhanaka inni zalamtu nafsi faghfir li, innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa Anta (You are far removed from imperfection I have wronged myself, so forgive me, because none but You can forgive sins)." Then he smiled.
4 - "Allahumma Inny Zhalamtu Nafsi Zhulman Kathira Wala Yaghfiru Al Dhunuba Illa Ant, Faghfir Li Maghfiratan Min `Indika Warhamny, Innaka Anta Al Ghafuru Ar-Rrahim." [O Allah! [O Allah! I have done great injustice to myself and none except You forgives sins, so please forgive me and be Merciful to me as You are the Forgiver, the Merciful].

See Related Dua: Allahumma inni zalamtu nafsi. 3.Dua for forgiveness from Allah. Hazrat Shaddad ibn Aws narrates that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) said: Whoever recites Sayyid al-Istigfar after the morning prayer with complete certainty, if he dies before evening before that day.
